Michael Thelen of Signal Mountain, representing Chattanooga Southeast Tennessee Home Education Association, was a top- 10 finalist in the Tennessee State Geography Bee at Tennessee State University in Nashville. The boy next to him, Chris Ables, attends a public school in Martin, Tenn.
